- There is a new virtual assistant (虚拟助手) for kids in Amazon. Its name is Echo Dot. It is quite cute with a design (图案) of a cartoon tiger’s or panda’s face on it. It has a special “Magic Word” feature (特征). It teaches kids “magic words”: “Please” and “Thanks”. When kids ask Echo Dot questions, it encourages them to be polite. For example, if a kid asks Echo Dot “Could you please tell me where Australia is?” It will answer the question. Then it will end with “Thanks for asking so nicely.” Amazon hopes that through keeping interaction (互动) with Echo Dot, kids will copy (模仿) it and learn to be polite in their daily lives little by little. However, some people aren’t happy with Echo Dot. They think parents should spend more time with their kids and teach them to be polite. In fact, all of us shouldn’t over-rely (过分依赖) on virtual assistants. When communication (交流) with others in real life, it’s not just words; body language (肢体语言) and showing feelings are important too. Do you agree?
