- Feeling bad? Don’t worry! Here are some simple ways to help you feel better. Take a deep breath. Close your eyes. Breathe in through your nose. Count to four. Then, breathe out through your mouth. This can help your body and mind calm down. Go for a walk. Put on your shoes and step outside. Walk around your neighborhood or a park. Look at the trees, flowers and sky. Feel the wind on your face. Walking can make your heart feel lighter. Talk to someone. Go to a friend or family member. Tell them what’s on your mind. They might give you a hug or some good advice. Talking can help you feel less alone and more understood. Help others. Do something nice for someone else. It could be as simple as holding a door open or helping with homework. Helping others can make you feel good and connected to others. Remember, it’s OK to feel bad sometimes. But doing these simple things can make you happier.
